God bless Juanita Valiente

Rules have their  exceptions, and Juanita was it in the foundation. She was not a girl nor a young adult, although young at heart.

Juanita  came to us from the Republic of Paraguay seeking medical attention to recover from the terrible effects of a thrombosis that left her limping and unable to use a hand.  But Juanita was a strong,  combative person. Her limitations did not stop her from working hard to meet her basic needs.

While in Miami, Juanita came to know the Lord as her savior and immediately began working in evangelism at Blessed Trinity.

With time, Juanita’s health deteriorated and her  kidneys stopped functioning, which necessitated her having to have dialysis three times a week, as she patiently waited for a kidney transplant.

However, Juanita died, yet leaving terrific memories with us : her gracious laughter, her exceptional strength and her powerful faith in God right up to the end.

Till we see you again, Juanita, sister and friend.

Dios bendiga a Juanita Valiente

Toda regla tiene su excepción, y Juanita lo fue en la fundación. Juanita no era niña ni joven adulta, aunque su corazón reflejaba plena juventud.

Juanita llegó a Miami procedente del Paraguay para recibir atención médica y recuperarse de los efectos malignos de una trombosis que la había paralizado de una pierna y dejado muy impedida de una mano.

Juanita era de carácter fuerte y luchador, y su incapacidad física no le impedía trabajar como sirvienta para suplir sus necesidades.  En Miami conoció al Señor, y trabajó árduamente como evangelizadora en su comunidad católica de “Blessed Trinity.”

Al pasar de los años, la salud de Juanita  enpeoró,  sus riñones dejaron de funcionar y requirió tratamientos de diálisis tres veces por semana mientras esperaba su turno para recibir un transplante. 

Pero Juanita murió.   Los  que la conocimos la recordamos con gran afecto y
añoramos su risa, su fortaleza y su fe firme hasta el final.

Juanita Valiente, amiga y hermana, a ti solamente decimos: hasta pronto.
